Compilation of my MOTD Eye Makeup

Hey lovelies! Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't blogged about my makeup looks or tutorials/pictorials in awhile. I thought I would show you guys makeup looks that I have been wearing and loving over the past few weeks and months.  I first uploaded them on my instagram account and I thought I would also share my looks with you guys here. Hope you like them! :)

Lately, I have been loving burgundy and burnt orange shades. Here I used sephora's pantone makeup palette. The color of the year if you didn't know already is marsala. I love this color and have been wearing this a lot. I used a navy blue eyeshadow just below the lower lashes that is also in the palette.

I love my colorful eyeshadows just as much as my neutral ones and I used the sugar pill palettes to create this fun and bright look. There are some days when I just want to wear colors especially when the winter blues hit. :)

That day I felt like wearing a simple neutral makeup look. This look can be worn every day and I think it would be nice to wear for work as well. I used the Tartlette palette from Tarte Cosmetics . You can read my review here.

I think out of all colorful eyeshadows to wear, purple is my favorite and also brings out the brown in my eyes. I like to incorporate purple with brown eyeshadow a lot because brown softens the look if you so not want to go bold on your eye makeup.. I used makeup geek's eyeshadows for this look. I wanted to keep the look simple and showcase the purple color on my lid so I didn't apply the liquid liner.

I debuted this look on my Motd ft. Lorac Pro 2 blog post which you can find here.  You can also find what colors I used in that blog post as well. I wanted to use cooler tone eyeshadows and came up with this soft smokey eye look.
I created this look using the maya mia palette that I also did a review on. You can check that out here.  I wanted a soft peachy pink look and came up with this. I used a aqua blue color to give the makeup look a pop of color. I think this look would be nice to wear in the spring time.

I wanted to create a sultry eye makeup look. To achieve a sultry look you don't always have to go heavy on eye makeup. Sometimes the right color combo like a brown gray on the lid and  an orange brown eyeshadow on the crease will do just fine. When I go for a sultry look I do not want to add a liquid liner because I think its too much for day time wear. You can add the liquid liner to this look to create a night time look.

I hope you liked my eye looks and  I hope to create more makeup looks soon :)

If you would like you can follow me on instagrampinterest and twitter for quick updates and pretty makeup pictures and eye looks.

See you lovelies in my next blogpost :)

Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick Collection Photos,Swatches and Review

Hello lovelies! Hope everyone is doing well and keeping warm. One word. Lipsticks! I think after being an eyeshadow junkie next are my love for lipsticks. My obsession of lipsticks has grown and the makeup companies releasing new goodies all the time do  not help my addiction lol. Today I bring you Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick Collection which is exclusively sold at Kohls. I have never tried lipsticks from Lorac Cosmetics and I am not surprised that their lipsticks are just as amazing as their eye shadows. Hope you enjoy the review! :)

Lorac Alter Ego Collection retails for $35($80 value). Comes with five of their best selling matte lipsticks. These can only be found at Kohls.

Photos
The gold packaging always get me and I love how the colors of the lipsticks shows at the bottom so you know which colors you are choosing.

The colors are just amazing!

Duchess- is a pinky nude.

Seductress- is a light marsala shade.
Vixen- is coral red color. This color is nice for the summer time.
Ceo- is a bright hot pink shade. This color also screams summer.

Free Spirit- is a beautiful grape purple shade.

Reviews/Thoughts

Texture- Feels smooth when you apply and feels a little heavy on the lips. These lipstick reminds me of mac lipsticks.
Pigmentation -the lipstick are very opaque which I love.

Longevity- Since the lipstick are very pigmented and feel a little heavy on the lips, they last a good 4 to 5 hours.

I am in love with the Lorac Alter Ego Lipsticks collection. I think this is such an amazing deal considering each lipstick retails for $16 each. You get five for $35! Such a steal. These lipsticks pack a punch with their pigmentation. Considering the lorac alter ego lipstick are matte, they do not dry out your lips because they contain vitamin E. This collection has colors for everyone whether you want a simple nude lip to a bright lip. My favorite shade which is tough to choose because they are all beautiful would have to be free spirit. I was surprised to love this color because I am not into purple lipsticks much, but this shade changed my mind. If you feel these lipsticks might me too matte for you then you can just apply a gloss on top.

You can purchase the Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick Collection online at Kohls or you can visit a kohls near you.

Do you own any of Lorac's Alter Ego Lipsticks? Which one is your favorite color? Leave a comment below.

Thanks for stopping by and see you in my next blog post.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Eyeshadow Palette Photos Swatches and Review

Hey guys! Hope everyone is well. Today I am bringing yet another palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills called the Amrezy Palette. Although it is not fall, this palettes screams fall colors and I think this is an ideal palette for that time of year. Of course there are no rules when it comes to makeup. You can wear any colors you want no matter the season. I know I still wear my bright eyeshadows in the winter time. :) Any who hope you enjoy this review!

The Amrezy Palette retails for $29 and comes with 10 eyeshadows.

This palette has colors for everyone. Whether your a neutral lover or if you want to incorporate a pop of purple or green into your makeup look. Comes with a double ended brush like Anastasia Beverly Hill's other eyeshadow palettes.

The packaging is made out of cardboard and is sleep enough to travel with.

Legend- is a champagne gold color.
Glisten is a rose gold color. Such a lovely shade. I like to put this all over the lid.
Topaz-light copper color.
Iridescent Purple-  a nice bright grape purple.
Emerald- a beautiful forest green color.
Vanilla- white shade with hints of silver glitter.
Caramel- light reddish brown,
Morocco- a clay red brown shade. One of my favorite shades.
Deep Plum - dark purple brown shade.
Lbd- is a gray black shade.

Review/Thoughts

Pigmentation- Great pigmentation.
Longevity- Wears for 6-7 hours.
Texture- Velvety
Fallout- No Fall out

I think Anastasia Beverly Hill's Amrezy Palette has to be my favorite palette out of her other ones. The makeup artist named Amrezy picked out amazing colors that compliment each other so well. You have neutrals as well as some colorful eyeshadow that makes this palette so versatile to use. The texture as well as the pigmentation is wonderful. If I had to take a palette with me to travel it would definitely be this one. This will also be a palette I will reach for the most coming the fall season. The shades in this palette are also available as single eyeshadows at her website which I think is great and worth getting once I run out.

Lorac Unzipped Gold Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos and Swatches

Hola lovelies! How is everyone! We are getting battered here in the east coast with the snow. Although the snow is beautiful, I am tired of it lol. Hope everyone is keeping warm! If you are one who lives in warm climate, I envy you lol.  Ok enough talk about snow and let's focus our attention on the much talked about Lorac Unzipped Gold Palette. I must admit when I first saw it I was going oooo such a pretty palette! I mean who doesn't love gold eyeshadows. If you are a gold eyeshadow lover then you will fall in love with this palette. Hope you enjoy the review!

Lorac Unzipped Gold Palette retails at $42.00 and contains 10 eyeshadows. 4 matte shadows and 6 shimmer shadows.

Comes with the Lorac behind the scenes primer.

Back of the packaging.

This palette compliments all skin tones.

Sleek packaging making it travel friendly.

Swatches!

Undressed- is a baby pink matte eyeshadow. The pigmentation is not the best but with primer it will boost the color a bit more. This is the only highlight shade in the palette.
Uninhibited- is a pink champagne shimmer color. This is nice to use as a highlight for your cheek bones as well.
Unpredictable- pinky gold shimmer color. This color is gorgeous, but be careful because I experienced a lot of fall out with this eyeshadow and when dipping my brush it kicks up a lot of product. Go in gently with your brush.
Undeniable is a walnut brown matte shade. I was a bit disappointed in this shadow because it didn't have the best pigmentation. It also developed a hard film with each use.
Unedited- is a chocolate brown matte shade.
Unlocked is a beautiful white gold shimmer shade that can be used as a highlight for your inner tear duct or a cheek highlight.
Unlimited is a classic gold shimmer shade.
Unleashed is a copper gold color. This color is gorgeous and this color has the best pigmentation in the palette. My favorite color in this palette.
Unwind is a light brown shade great for a transition color. This had better pigmentation than the other brown shade called undeniable.
Unafraid -is a copper brown shimmer shade with gold and red glitter. Has great pigmentation so a little goes a long way.

Review/Thoughts

Pigmentation- Good pigmentation for the most part, however the twi matte brown shades in particular the one named undeniable lacked pigmentation and were not as smooth as the other shadows.
Texture: 9 out of the ten shadows has a nice velvety texture. The color Undeniable felt dry.
Longevity: Wears for about 7 hours.
Fallout: I experienced a lot of fall out and product kick up with the shimmery eyeshadows especially with the color unpredictable. If you have hooded eyes, the shimmery shadows will transfer onto the crease.

Over All, I am pleased with the Lorac Unzipped Gold Eyeshadow Palette. However, I do not think the quality is not consistent with the original lorac unzipped palette. Most of the shadows have a nice velvety texture similar to the lorac zipped palette, but the two brown matte shades lacked pigmentation and the velvety texture that  the other matte shadows in original lorac unzipped palette have. The shadows wore for about 7 hours and the pigmentation was still going strong. The stand out shades in the lorac gold unzipped palette are unpredictable and unleashed. Both shadows have excellent pigmentation, however the shimmery shades like the color unpredictable did have a lot of fall out. It is still a gorgeous color. As for the packaging it is nice and sleek which makes it travel friendly.

If I had to choose between the Lorac Unzipped palette and the Lorac Unzipped gold, I would have to choose the first one because I like the consistency in texture of the eyeshadows, pigmentation and how they perform. Lorac Unzipped Gold Eyeshadow Palette is a great palette to have because it contains many different shades of gold that will satisfy anyone who is a lover of gold eyeshadows. I am happy I purchased this palette. Some of the gold shades are too gorgeous to pass up!

You can purchase the Lorac Unzipped Gold Palette at Ulta and lorac website.

Do you own any of the unzipped palettes? What are your thoughts? Leave a comment below. :)

I hope you enjoyed this review and see you guys in my next blogpost!

Stay warm!

Lorac Pro 2 Eyeshadow Palette Photos, Swatch and Review

Hey lovelies! Today I am here to review the Lorac Pro 2 Palette. I previously own the Lorac Pro palette and I know I don't need to have this palette, but as a makeup addict and palette collector I just had to have it :) Lorac Cosmetics is known for their lorac pro palettes and the loracunzipped palettes that they came out with. Their reputation are known for their velvety pigmented eyeshadows and I can assure they live up to their reputation. Hope you enjoy my review!

Lorac Pro 2 Eye shadow Palette retail for $42.00 and contains 8 matte and 8 shimmer eyeshadows that have a velvety texture.

Photos

This palette has more cooler toned eyeshadows than its previous palette which is the original lorac pro palette.

Swatch Time
Buff-is a light yellow eyeshadow.
Lt. Brown is well lit brown :)
Cool Grey is a taupey grey color.
Nectar -is a peachy pink eyeshadow.
Plum is a beautiful plum grape color.
Navy is a dark blue color.
Charcoal- is a light grey color.
Black- Name speaks for its self :)
Snow- Pure white eyeshadow
Beige-is a champagne color.
Rose- This color is gorgeous and is a rose gold shade.
Mocha is a copper color
Chrome is a light greyish silver color.
Silver- name speaks for itself. This silver is so pigmented!
Jade- is dark olive green.
Cocoa- A brown copper color.

Texture-Velvety, soft
Pigmentation- Excellent
Longevity: Last 7-8 hours.
 No Fall out.

Thoughts

I am a big fan Lorac Cosmetics and as you can see from the swatches above the quality and pigmentation of the eye shadows are great. The eyeshadows last about 7-8 hours and I experienced no fall out when I applied the shadows. I found that two shades called plum and navy can apply patchy so you really need to work with your brush and blend blend blend. This palette is versatile and you can create day and night time looks. If you are someone who likes to wear cooler tone eyeshadows than the Lorac Pro 2 eyeshadow palette is worth having.

You can find this palette at Ulta and the lorac website.

Hope you enjoyed this review and see you in my next blog post.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick (Sangria) Review

Hey Lovelies! Beauty trends are always changing and the latest beauty trend is vampy or dark lips. If you are looking for a vampy, dark, or wine color lipsticks then the Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Sangria will definitely get you compliments. Milani's lipsticks are so rich, creamy and the color is very opaque. Milani cosmetics is my favorite drug store brand because their quality of lipsticks are amazing! Hope you enjoy my review!

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Sangria retails for $5.99. Prices may vary depending where you go to buy milani products.

I just love milani's lipstick packaging. I mean come on gold packaging= love :)

Milani Lipstick in Sangria is a beautiful berry wine color that compliments every skin tone.

Review/Thoughts

Texture: Creamy
Pigmentation: Opaque
Longevity: Medium(wore for about 5 hours)

I am a big fan of Milani's Color Statement lipsticks. Their pigmentation is rich in color and the texture is creamy and non drying. Milani Color Statement lipstick in Sangria is such a romantic looking color. I would describe the color as berry wine and will compliment everyone's skin tone. What I love about their lipstick is for the quality it is very affordable and their packing is beautiful! I wore this lipstick for about 5 hours before it started to fade. I really do not have a problem with any lip product fading before the day is over. I just reapply. If you are looking for a sultry, or vampy color then this is a pretty color to try out.

Hope you enjoy my review !

Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Tea Rose Review

Hey lovelies! Today I will be reviewing Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Tea Rose. On days when I do not want to wear lipstick and keep my makeup look simple, I go for lipgloss which has a  lighter feel than lipstick and adds just the right amount of color to your lips. Hope you enjoy this review!

Nyx Mega Shine Lipgloss in Tea Rose retail for $4.99. It is suppose to give your lips a shiny and moisturized appearance.

The packaging is pretty simple and I love that you can see the color through the packaging.

The lip gloss is buttery, creamy and does not have a sticky texture that some other lip glosses  have.

The Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Tea Rose is a beautiful rosy pink color.

Review/Thoughts

OverAll, I love Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Tea Rose. I have always been of fan Nyx's Mega Shine glosses and this particular color is a beautiful. If you are scared to wear loud pink lip glosses then this particular shade adds a nice wash of color to your lips. This rosy pink color compliments a lot of skin tones, has nice pigmentation and the lip gloss has a nice texture which is buttery and creamy. It also does not have a tacky consistency.  I wore this lip gloss for a few hours before it faded on my lips and my lips felt moisturized after wearing the lipgloss. If you are a lipgloss lover the Nyx Mega Shine Lip gloss will not disappoint.

Hope you enjoyed this review.

My question to all my beauty addicts out there is... Are you a lipstick lover or a lip gloss lover? Leave a comment down below :)
