Loreal Lumi True Match Cushion Foundation Review

Hey guys! I have missed you! I have been gone for a little bit, but I am back now. I have a new addition to the family, so I have been quite busy. Now that things are less hectic, I can slowly come back to blogging again.  Today I am reviewing the Loreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation. I heard great things about this foundation and one of them is that it is good for people who have dry skin like me.  If you are one of them then this might be a foundation worth trying.

Loreal True Match Cushion Foundation retails between $14- $16.99 depending on where you go to purchase it. This foundation is suppose to create a luminous finish and buildable coverage if needed.

I love the rose gold packaging and love the fact that it has a mirror. Perfect to use when on the go.

I am in the shade w5.5 face wise.

Review/Thoughts

Over All, I really love the Loreal Lumi Cushion foundation. At first I had my doubts, but when I went into labor wearing this for about 12 hrs my skin looked flawless and got compliments from the nurses. :) It feels light weight and made my skin look hydrated. As far as the luminous title, goes it wasn't as luminous as I thought it was. This is still a great foundation for those who have dry skin. This foundation is buildable however, if you have redness in your skin you might want to color correct those problem areas before applying this foundation. I would wear this foundation during the cooler months since this is when my skin is the driest. During the summer months my skin is a bit more oilier, so if your skin is also the case in the summer then u might want to dry for satin foundation and save this awesome foundation for the cooler months. This foundation is a bit pricey for drugstore brand, but worth the results in making your skin look hydrated and flawless.

You can find this foundation at your local drugstore.

Hope you found this review helpful. Do you own this foundation? What are your thoughts? Leave a comment below.

Have a great day and I am happy to be back! See you in my next blog post!

My Top Five Liquid Foundations and Swatches

Hey guys! For the past few years I have been experimenting with different foundations and trying to match them to my skin. The first few attempts at trying to match my foundation to my skin failed. I either looked like a ghost or I looked like I spent the day in a tropical island. After a few trial and errors, I finally got the hang of choosing the right foundation for my skin tone. I did however got my foundation matched to my skin tone at Sephora and at Mac makeup stands. That helped a lot and I would just match those foundations with the drugstore foundations and it made the process of picking the right foundation much easier. I only use foundations for dry skin and stay far away from matte foundations. Today I am going to show you some of my favorites.

I know that Loreal True Match Foundation and Cover Girl Stay Fabulous foundation can be drying, but if you have a hydrating primer it will give your skin a dewy more hydrating appearance. If I wear those foundations alone it makes my fine lines and dry patches more noticeable. The reason I wear these it because it feels light weight on the skin and has amazing coverage.

Since I have dry skin, I moisturize my face and apply a hydrating primer so that the foundation that I am applying looks smooth and dewy on my skin. These steps are a must for me. The purpose of primers is to fill in pores, fine lines and smooth out your skin depending on the kind of primer you use. There are different primers for different jobs.  For example, I use a hydrating primer because my skin is dry. Primers also make sure your foundation last all day and makes your face look flawless.

Loreal True Match Foundation Sun Beige W6- If you are looking for a light weight foundation, then this is a good choice. This can be drying on me at times which is why before I apply this I moisturize my face and apply a hydrating primer on top. Once that all sets I apply the foundation and it glides on my skin and does not make my dry patches show. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin which I love and lasts for most of the day. I am a W6 in the fall and winter months and a w7 during the spring and summer.

The Maybelline Fit me Foundation Dewy And Smooth(310) is a nice drugstore foundation for dry skin. When I applied this after moisturizing and priming my face, It really gave my skin a smooth appearance and has great coverage. It isn't as dewy as I hoped which makes this a good foundation for the summer months because during the summer months your glands produce more oils.

Mac Mineralize Moisture Foundation Nc 42- This a fantastic foundation for dry skin. I have never seen a foundation that give moisture to the skin like this one. It is light to medium coverage and gives the skin a natural look and dewy appearance. I applied moisturizer and hydrating primer and it made my skin a little too shiny. So I didn't apply a moisturizer and just applied a primer and this foundation. I wouldn't wear this in the summer months as it can make me look like a shiny ball. This is my go to for the fall and winter months. If you do wear this in the summer you can apply a translucent powder to your t zones to get the shine under control. I am an Nc 44 in the summer.

CoverGirl OutLast Stay Fabulous 3n1 Foundation 857- If you are looking for a drug store foundation that gives you full coverage and conceals all at once then this one is great. This foundation also can look dry at times on me so as usual I moisturize and apply a hydrating primer. This foundation conceals everything! I love it. It really gives my skin a smooth appearance and covers the redness on my cheeks and around my nose really well. This foundation lasts all day and gives your skin a flawless appearance.

Urban Decay The Naked Skin Foundation 7.0- This foundation lives up to its title. This foundation look so natural and light weight on my skin and gives it a dewy appearance.  I love wearing this foundation in the summer months since it is so lightweight. This foundation is light to medium coverage and is comparable to Mac's Mineralize Moisture foundation just a bit less dewy.

Swatches!

These foundations must seem that they do not match my skin. Since I am Muslim, I cover everything except for my face and hands. My face gets the most sun exposure so my face much darker than the rest of my body so these foundations match the skin tone on my face. When I apply the foundation I just bring it down to my neck. I tried to match foundation according to my skin tone on my neck to my face and I looked like a ghost lol. I did get my foundation matched at Sephora and at Mac and these were the recommendations for the Mac and Urban Decay foundations. As for matching the drugstore foundations, I would just bring my mac foundation and hold it next to the foundations in the store to see which is a close match.

Conclusion

There you have guys my top 5 liquid foundations. Again moisturizing especially if you have dry skin is key as well as applying a good primer before foundation application, but the most important beauty tip is taking care of your skin is what really makes your foundation look great. Your skin is your canvas and your foundation will only look great if your skin is maintained. I am still looking forward to trying out more foundations . There is so many out right now that I am dying to try and more and more foundations are gearing toward us dry skins folks which I am excited about.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and found it helpful!

My Beauty Favs of 2015

Hey guys! I can't believe 2016 is almost here! This year flew by so fast and it has been a great year. I wanted to step away from reviews and makeup looks a bit and bring you my beauty favs of 2015. Some products are from 2015 and others were most used products that I used during the year. I hope you enjoy this post and hope the new year brings you much happiness and success. :)

ColourPop Super Shock Shadows-  I have seen so many pictures and reviews on these shadows that I had to purchase some. I am soooooooo happy that I did. I do not know what the formula is, but it is amazing!! These eyeshadows are super pigmented. The texture feels wet but drys on the lid. These shadows are $5 each which is super affordable for the quality and pigmentation. If you do not have any of these go get them now. You will not be disappointed. ColourPop did an excellent job with these shadows.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip(liquid Lipstick) in Tulle- If you are looking for an affordable liquid lipstick without leaving a whole in your pocket this is a good alternative. This ColourPop Liquid lipstick in the color Tulle is like a brick brown burgundy colour that is gorgeous! I have worn this color all throughout the fall and will be wearing it during winter aswell. It has great color payoff and last a long time.

Inglot Gel Liner is #77- Where has this eyeliner been all my life? I have been trying out different brands of gel liners and this one is the best. It is a matte eyeliner and applies so smoothly on the lid and does not budge. I love it and one coat is all you need.

Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Eyeliner-  Out of all the mascaras this has been my go to for most of the year of 2015. This is a staple in my mascara collection because it give my eyelashes such volume that it looks like I am wearing falsies. This is an old school mascara that will always remain new to me. Love it. This to me is comparable to Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made Palette - I chose this for one of the best palettes of the year 2015 because they improved their formula and the pigmentation is great. This palette only costs $35 and has a variety of colors to create many looks from. This won't break the bank and for the price the quality is wonderful.

Mac Mineralize Moisture Foundation- In love with this foundation! I have tried many foundations this year, but I always go back using this one because it gives my skin such a dewy look and it feels so light weight. I have dry skin and this gives it the moisture it needs making my face look smooth and hydrated without making it look oily. Best investment I made in a foundation.

Jaclyn Hill Becca Highlighter- This has been my go to highlighter. It compliments my olive skin tone and gives my cheeks a luminous shine that is not overpowering. I will be making future purchases of  more Becca highlighters because their formula is amazing. It is finely milled and does not have any chunky glitter that some highlighters can have.

Maybelline Baby Lips- This year has been the year of liquid lipsticks. I used this before every liquid lipstick application to provide moisture to my lips so my lips look smooth while wearing the liquid lipsticks. Dry lips and liquid lipstick is no no. The Maybelline baby lips is amazing and made my lips look great while wearing a liquid lipstick and in general for moisturizing the lips. Great for winter.

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Nourishing Primer- I have tried a few primers and they just didn't work for me. During the sephora vib sale I picked this baby up. All I can say is this is my holy grail primer. It makes my foundation look amazing and last all day. It is worth every penny and if you have dry skin you NEED this in your life. Primer of the year and probably the next few years lol. Love it.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Lolita- This to me has to be one of the best formulas in a liquid lipstick. When I tell you it lasts all day it really does. I eat all day and still stays strong on my lips. It is so light weight on my lips that sometimes I forget I have it on.  The color lolita is beautiful and compliments all skin tones. You can wear this color with any look.

Maybelline Master Conceal Concealer is awesome! The texture is not thick which I love and goes on smoothly and has wonderful coverage. It doesn't crease much or make me look like I have old bags under my eyes. Hands down the best drug store concealer.

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso- The best drugstore blush ever! The formula, pigmentation and lasting power is wonderful .This blush is better than some of the high end blushes. If you are looking for an affordable blush this is the one to get. This color goes with every makeup look and gives your cheeks a beautiful peachy pink flush. Love it!

Purity Made Simple One Step Facial Cleaner- I grabbed this gem on the sephora vib sale.I wanted to try this since so many  have raved about this cleanser. Worth the rave and lives up to the hype. If your looking for a cleaner that does it all. This is the one.  It takes off the makeup so well from your face and leaves it feeling so soft and radiant. I can't believe it took me so long to try this. I won't go without this ever again. I use this every day and night.

There you have it guys! My beauty favs of 2015. New and old products that I used most of the year. Hope you enjoyed this post and decide to pick some of these products up and give it a try. I always love reading these types of blogposts to see what is worth buying.

Do you own any of these? Leave a comment. If you have a beauty favs post of the year or a monthly favs, leave a comment so I can check it out. :)

Have a great day and see you next year! :)

Spring Bloom Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys hope you are all well! Yes! Spring is here and I couldn't be happier. In the makeup world the pastels, rosy pinks and lilacs make their comeback in lipsticks, lip glosses, blushes and eyeshadows. This look is inspired by the beautiful flowers that come to life during the Spring. I love pink flowers and decided to create a look inspired by them.  I added a pop of green to mimic the green leaves and stem of the flowers. Hope you enjoy this look! :)

*Prime the eyelids and lower lash line with eyeshadow base*

1.Apply the color Wisteria onto the lid.
2. Next, take the color Cupcake and add it to the crease. This will act as transition color. Make sure you blend.
3. Take the color Simply Marlena and apply it to the crease and blend.
4. On the inner crease take the color Razzleberry and apply it to the inner crease. Blend.
5.Use the color Vanilla Bean and apply it to the brow bone.
6. Apply bitten to the outter corner and blend it up to the crease midway.
During the process of applying the eyeshadows to your eye, make sure you take the color Wisteria and touch up the lid along the way.
7.Apply black masacra.
8.Use black eyeliner and apply it to the water line.
9.Use a green eyeliner and apply it to the lower lash line. This will act as a base to eyeshadow color you place on top.
10. Take the  color Sea mist and apply on your lower lash line on top of the green eyeliner.
11. Next use the color Shimma Shimma and apply it to the inner tear duct.
*Once I am done again I take the color Wisteria to touch up the lid.*

Target and Walmart Haul!!!

Hello lovelies! I just wanted to share some goodies I picked up from Target and Walmart a few weeks ago. This haul contains mostly lip products. I have been addicted to lipstick and lipgloss lately. This time I wanted to purchase some rose toned lippies which is a nice color transition into the fall. Hope you enjoy this haul. :)

Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss. I can never say no  to mauve and berry colored glosses. I think the mauve one is great for everyday wear to add just a little bit of color to your lips. Berry lips is another  great color to wear to the fall. The colors I got are called Mauve Fetish and Berry Temptation.

Loreal Paris Miss Voluminous Manga Mascara - I have heard so much about this mascara so I decided to see what all the fuss about. I read many great reviews, so we shall see.

Loreal Color Riche Glossy Balm- I love lipstick or balms that come in crayon form. I have tried Revlon, so I wanted to see how L'oreal balms work. The colors I got are Vintage Rose and Petite Plum. Again I am loving the plumy and rose colors for the Fall.

Loreal Paris  24 Hour Infallible Eyeshadow in Smoldering Plum this is a great color for fall and I have been seeing plum colored eyeshadow as a fall trend this year. It is so pretty! I would use this to smoke up an eyeshadow look.

Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss - Tea Rose is a nice pinky rose color. It is beautiful and gives the lips a light wash of color.

Nyx Lip Matte Cream - San Paulo  is a pink color with red undertones. Really pretty.

Nyx Round Lipstick- Tea rose. Same color name as the Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss but, this color is a lighter pink. You can pair the Nyx Mega Gloss in Tea Rose and the Nyx Round Lipstick in Tea rose together.

I do not own many colors like these. I didn't want to let go of wearing pink completely, so I thought these rose colors are nice and are wearable for this time of year. :)

Rimmel Lip Pencil in Spice.
It is weird for a beauty addict like me , but I have only a few lipliners lol. I decided to pick this one up to match my rose toned and neutral lippies.

Maybelline Cream Matte LipStick - Mesmerizing Magenta- I love matte lipsticks and finding a good one is hard. I love magenta!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rum Raisin- Again with the rose toned lippies. I just cant get enough. This is considered a 90's lipstick color. This has been a new lip color trend.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Sangria - If there was a perfect color to wear for the Fall it would be this one. It is just a beautiful purple wine color. ahhh so pretty!

Hopefully I can do a review and swatches for these goodies . Stay tuned.

That is it!

Hope you enjoyed my Target and Walmart haul. In no way I am bragging I just want to share my beauty finds with my fellow beauty addicts. :)

L'oreal Colour Riche Extraordinary Lip Color In Molto Mauve Review

Hey lovelies how are you all today? I hope you are all doing well. I am so excited that it is finally Spring because it is one of my favorite seasons aside from Fall! Spring is the best season to wear neutral, rosy and soft toned pinks lip colors. Today I will be reviewing the Loreal Colour Riche Extraordinary Lip Color in Molto Mauve. It has been my go to color lately and is a great everyday color to wear. It is also a nice shade to wear for Spring . I heard a lot of rave reviews on the L'oreal Colour Riche Extraordinary Lip Colors and I thought I would try it out.

L'oreal Color Riche Extraordinary Lip Colors retail at $7-99 $9.99 depending on were you buy it. It contains micro oils that gives the lip moisture like a balm, shine like a gloss and pigmentation of a lipstick.

Pros
Flat doe foot applicator for easy application
Buttery Texture
Moisturizing

Cons
Smell
Taste

Conclusion

Over All, I really like the L'oreal Colour Riche Extraordinary Lip Color in Molto Mauve. This product is butter in a bottle. The texture is super buttery and really moisturizes the lips even after wearing it . As far as the scent goes, it smells like chemicals mixed with a light perfumed scent and I do not like the taste it leaves in my mouth. On the plus side, the pigmentation is decent and is true to the color shown outside the packaging. Molto Mauve is a great everyday color to wear and will look good on any skin tone. I really love this shade. The flat doe foot applicator is great because its shape makes it easy to apply to the product onto your lips. If you are looking for a lip product with a buttery texture, lip gloss shine, pigmentation like a lipstick and  an every day wearable color, then I recommend L'oreal Colour Riche Extraordinary Colour Riche Lip Color in Molto Mauve. I already have my eye on more shades that I would like to purchase.

Do you own any of the L'oreal Colour Riche Extraordinary Lip Colors? If so, which colors do you own?

Hope you enjoyed this review and I will see you lovelies in my next blog post.
