Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rum Raisin Review and Swatch

Hello Lovelies! As you know by now the pantone color of the year is marsala. Marsala is beautiful different shades of burgundy colors which I love and compliments every skin tone which is nice. When I was looking through my lipsticks, I found the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in rum raisin and thought marsala! This has become my go to lipstick. Hope you enjoy my review !

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick In Rum Raisin(creme) retails at $7.99 and sometimes cheaper depending where you buy it from . 

Packaging is simple yet classy.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick- Rum Raisin 535(creme) which is a mid tone marsala shade. Compliments every skin tone.

Review/Thoughts

      I just love their line because it is so moisturizing, givesthe lips a nice shine and even after you take it off it leaves your lips nice and soft. In addition, it feels light weight on the lips. I own many other lipsticks from their in which you can check out here. The Revlon Super Lustrous shade in rum raisin is truly a beautiful marsala shade to own. It compliments every skin tone. The lipstick is a creme texture and glides on to the lips like butter. It wears for a decent 4-5 hours if you eat light, but if you were to eat greasy foods then it will just come right off. I have no problem reapplying. Once this shade runs out I will definitely buy another,  or I just might go and buy a back up right away :) I love this shade and this has been my go to lipstick lately. Before you spend crazy amount of money looking for a marsala lipstick in a high end brand,  you might want to check out the drugstores first.

Target and Walmart Haul!!!

Hello lovelies! I just wanted to share some goodies I picked up from Target and Walmart a few weeks ago. This haul contains mostly lip products. I have been addicted to lipstick and lipgloss lately. This time I wanted to purchase some rose toned lippies which is a nice color transition into the fall. Hope you enjoy this haul. :)

Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss. I can never say no  to mauve and berry colored glosses. I think the mauve one is great for everyday wear to add just a little bit of color to your lips. Berry lips is another  great color to wear to the fall. The colors I got are called Mauve Fetish and Berry Temptation.

                              

Loreal Paris Miss Voluminous Manga Mascara - I have heard so much about this mascara so I decided to see what all the fuss about. I read many great reviews, so we shall see. 

Loreal Color Riche Glossy Balm- I love lipstick or balms that come in crayon form. I have tried Revlon, so I wanted to see how L'oreal balms work. The colors I got are Vintage Rose and Petite Plum. Again I am loving the plumy and rose colors for the Fall. 

Loreal Paris  24 Hour Infallible Eyeshadow in Smoldering Plum this is a great color for fall and I have been seeing plum colored eyeshadow as a fall trend this year. It is so pretty! I would use this to smoke up an eyeshadow look. 

Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss - Tea Rose is a nice pinky rose color. It is beautiful and gives the lips a light wash of color.

Nyx Lip Matte Cream - San Paulo  is a pink color with red undertones. Really pretty. 

Nyx Round Lipstick- Tea rose. Same color name as the Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss but, this color is a lighter pink. You can pair the Nyx Mega Gloss in Tea Rose and the Nyx Round Lipstick in Tea rose together.

I do not own many colors like these. I didn't want to let go of wearing pink completely, so I thought these rose colors are nice and are wearable for this time of year. :)

Rimmel Lip Pencil in Spice. 

It is weird for a beauty addict like me , but I have only a few lipliners lol. I decided to pick this one up to match my rose toned and neutral lippies.

Maybelline Cream Matte LipStick - Mesmerizing Magenta- I love matte lipsticks and finding a good one is hard. I love magenta!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rum Raisin- Again with the rose toned lippies. I just cant get enough. This is considered a 90's lipstick color. This has been a new lip color trend. 

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Sangria - If there was a perfect color to wear for the Fall it would be this one. It is just a beautiful purple wine color. ahhh so pretty!

Review-Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm In Sultry

Hello lovelies!! I am excited to bring you this new lip product called Revlon Colorburst Matte Lip Balm. I picked it up few weekends ago at Target. Revlon also has a Colorburst Lacquer Balm line as well. I decided to buy the Revlon Colorburst Matte Lip Balm instead because I have been really into matte lipsticks lately.I really enjoy Revlon's lip products and was excited when I saw this.

The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm retails at $6.49-$8.99.

 Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in the shade Sultry.

This color is a mauvey soft burgundy color. At least that is how it looks on my lips. The color is not too bright or dark. I think this color is gorgeous and great is for every day wear. It would also look great on any skin tone.

Over all, I am in love with the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm. It applies on evenly and smoothly and has a minty smell and tingle to when you apply it.  It also has a buttery texture and is light weight on the lips. The pigmentation of the lip product is rich like that of a lipstick.I think Revlon should have called this product Revlon Colorburst Matte Lip Crayon. Usually with Matte lipsticks it feels drying on the lips,but not with the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm. Even after a few hours it still felt moisturizing and not too dry.As far as the staying power, I was surprised that I still had a decent amount of product after I ate my lunch. I am in love with this product. I love how it has the moisture of a balm but the pigmentation of a lipstick. This product is a win. Revlon never disappoints when it comes to their lip products. I am defiantly going to purchase more and will have a review on those.

*Super Late Summer Haul Part 1 *

As salaamu alaykum and hello lovelies! This post has been long overdue. I  purchased all these items in the summer. I never got a chance to do haul blog post. lol My goal was to post this back in July/August and I never made it. Now it's Fall. Better late than never! lol I want to share with you the goodies that I got from Ulta and Walmart. 

Ulta Haul:

This haul consisted mostly of lipsticks. I was really never into lipsticks until recently, which was  around the end of last year. Now I am a lipstick junkie :)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks.  Left to Right:Berry Couture,Berry Haute,Fuschia Shock,Prime Rose, Mauve It Over and Rose Velvet. 

I love these lipsticks.I wanted to purchase more neutral and more berry shades. I won't go into detail on these lipsticks because I plan on doing a full review.

Left to Right:Lasting Finish by Kate in 06, Revlon Color Burst Lip butter in Fig jam

Fig Jam in such a great color for the Fall. It doesn't apply that dark on your lips. It is more of a  wine color.

Left to Right:Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Fuchia Fever, Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Vivid Rose.  

These are great lipsticks for the summer.I love vibrant and colorful lipsticks.

I have yet to try the pigments. I tried the maybelline color tattoo in Tough as Taupe. I only used it once. I think it is ok. I would have to play with it more to give you a full review.

Walmart Haul:

This haul was mostly for the face.I had to sneak in a lip product or two. :)

These Kate Moss Lipsticks are nice shades for the Summer. I will also being doing a review on the Lasting Finish by Kate review lip sticks, so stay tuned for that :)

As you can see my foundation powder came shattered, and this is the replacement from the first one I received. *advice* Never order makeup from Walmart online* It was thrown in the box with a bunch of brown paper. -_- 

I had purchased this foundation before, but the other foundation was a tad too light for my skin tone, so I purchased this one. I love love love this foundation.

I saw a whole bunch of youtube beauty gurus rave about this and decided to purchase one. I understand why they were raving about it. It is a great concealer.

I purchased this because I saw one of the beauty gurus itsjudystime use it and I thought it was pretty. It's ok. Is is more of a luminizer than a blush to me. Still has a pretty shimmer to it.

My Top Five Fall Lipsticks

As salaamu alaykum and hello lovelies. Wow it is already September! Where has the Summer gone? I am going to miss Summer, but one of my favorite seasons is the Fall. I am looking forward to the cooler weather,the changing color of the leaves, and pumpkin scent candles. 

     

     With Fall comes change and also a change in lipstick colors. Today I will be posting My Top Five Fall Lipsticks. I didn't purchase any new Fall lipsticks because I haven't had the chance, but when I do, I will definitely show them to you guys :). Until then, I figured I show you the ones that I already own.

When I think of Fall I think of red,purple, burgundy,maroon and brown lipsticks colors. Yes, I still think brown is a nice lip color :).

Here are My Top Five Fall Lipsticks

Maybelline Color Sensational($5.50)- Plum Paradise- is a beautiful Plum Red color. I have to admit I really forgot about this lipstick and happy that I rediscovered it again. If you are looking for a color and can't decide if you want plum or red, then this color is the perfect plumy red color.

RevlonColor Burst Lip Butter Fig Jam($6.48)- Do not let the dark color alarm you. When you try it on it applies as a beautiful sheer brownish wine color. I love it. It is a unique color and I think it is perfect color to wear for the fall.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 09($4.97)- Is a berry red color. The color red is a classic color you can wear anytime of the year. I like to wear this color the most in the fall and is the perfect pop of color to wear that won't look loud for this time of year.

Nyx Round Lipstick- Medusa($3.99)- Is a deep purple color. I must admit when you first apply it, it is a bit dark.So what I like to do is just blot my lips with tissue and it changes to a more softer plum color which is gorgeous. Another hidden gem that I rediscovered.

Nyx Round Lip Stick- Summer Love($3.99)-Is a Mauvey purple color. If you are not into deep purple colors this is a nice alternative. This is a more softer toned purple and nice to wear on days when you do not want to wear too much color.

Revlon Lash Potion By Grow Luscious Mascara Review and Photos

As salaamu alaykum and hello lovelies! Today I am going to be reviewing The Revlon Lash Potion By Grow Luscious. I must admit, the pretty packaging kinda tempted me to buy it, but I also heard many great things about it and decided to purchase this mascara. 

 The Revlon Lash Potion By Grow Luscious retails between $4.99- $7.99(0.34Fl. Oz). According to Revlon, this mascara will give your lashes super strength and transform your lashes giving them a long and lustrous appearance.  This mascara uses protein to strengthen your eyelashes giving them volume as well. In addition, the triple groove wand is suppose to leave your lashes a clump free.

 I love the size and how it really looks like a brush.I think this is great because your lashes are literally brushed with the product.

Pros:

-Volumizing

-Gives your lashes a a lift 

-Applies evenly

-Gives your lashes a full appearance

-Affordable

-Packaging

-I love how big the wand is and all the bristles it has.

Cons:

-You have to apply three coats to really get the full benefits of the mascara.

-Hard to Remove

Lets put this mascara to the test.

*No eyelash curler was used prior or after application of the mascara*

Before:

After I applied the first coat, it didn't really make my lashes very noticeable. There is very little volume on the first coat.

 After I applied it for the second time,  I noticed it added more volume, lengthened my lashes ,gave it a lift and made my lashes more noticeable than the first coat. 

As you can see  on the third coat,  you get the full benefits of this mascara. I was amazed at how beautiful my lashes became. It lengthened them even more on the third coat. Honestly, I did not use any eyelash curler prior to any of the coats. This mascara really lifts your lashes and adds great volume on the third coat. A little clumpy on on the third coat.

This mascara really is a lash potion. Look how much my lashes lengthened on the third coat. 

Conclusion:

I am in love with Revlon's Lash Potion By Grow Luscious.I think this Mascara is excellent and really lives up to its title a "lash potion". I have never used a mascara that actually lengthened and lifted my lashes the way this mascara does. The two down sides that I can find, is it is hard to remove the product from your lashes, and  that you have to apply three coats to really see the effects of the mascara. I always triple coat when I use my mascaras anyway, but it never made my lashes look like I am wearing false lashes and never lengthened my lashes the way this mascara does.  It was a little clumpy by the third coat, but I have come to the conclusion that in my experience with using different mascaras, is that no mascara is clump free.  Some mascaras clump more than others. This isn't one of them. I highly recommend Revlon's Lash Potion Mascara. Leave your false lashes in your drawer, because with this mascara, there is no need for them.
