As salaamu alaykum and hello lovelies. Did you ever get a product that you try and and forget it only to rediscover it and fall in love ? Well that is what happened to me with this product. I learned that with skin care products, you can't expect an improvement overnight. It takes time to actually see results. When I first used it, I waited perhaps about three weeks and didn't notice anything so I tossed it aside. Later on, I became pregnant and wanted to find something to cleanse my skin with without using harsh chemicals that can be harmful to growing baby. I researched and found that Salicylic acid was not to be used while pregnant. I also researched and found that tea tree oil wasn't harmful to baby as long as it is used topically. I went back to using The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash. I used it throughout my pregnancy and it worked wonders on my skin. It kept my skin clear ,smooth and reduced redness in my cheeks. When I used other facial cleansers, it was harsh on my skin and it would make my cheeks really red.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial wash retails at $11.50(8.4 FL oz). It is suppose to remove excess oil without making your skin feel dry, helps remove impurities, and is gentle enough to be used everyday.
According the label, the tea tree oil is organically grown without chemical pesticides around the mountain of Kenya. Sounds pretty nice that they went great lengths to grow this herb.
As you see here I am almost running out. :)
Pros:
Clears up acne.
Give skin a smooth appearance
Invigorating
Not drying on the skin.
Great for sensitive skin(like mine)
Great for oily skin
Cons:
Product is a bit runny.I think they should have made it a bit thicker.
Smell
A bit expensive(but worth it)
Over all, I think this product it great. It was a hidden gem that I had tossed aside because I wasn't patient enough to see results. As I said earlier, it takes time to see results when using skin care products.Pregnancy made me realize how great this product is because I was forced to using it to avoid using other skin care facial cleansers or washes that have chemicals that can be harmful to the baby. I still use it even after pregnancy and my skin condition is great. I have no acne, and the redness in my cheeks decreased a lot. It really is gentle on your skin. I usually leave it on for two to five minutes while in the shower everyday. It doesn't leave your skin feeling dry unlike some other facial cleansers. I do recommend using a facial scrub. In my opinion, I think the skin needs to be exfoliated at least three times a week. It would be great if they came out with a Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub. I have to hurry and buy another Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash because mine is just about done. :)
I highly recommend this product especially if you have sensitive and oily skin. I also recommend this product if you are pregnant. I did research and the majority say it is safe to use while some have a difference of opinion about using Tea tree oil while pregnant. I used it through out my pregnancy and I have a healthy 6 month old :).
Will I purchase this product again? Yes.
You can find this product HERE. It is also on sale at the moment. :)
