My Top 5 Neutral Palettes

As salaamu alaikum and hello lovelies!   I have been using my Neutral Palettes more often lately. I love the earthy tones. Neutral colors are perfect for every day wear and any occasion, whether its for work, school or a night out. What I love about Neutral Palettes is that they have different shades of Browns ranging  from warm to cool. The color Black that is usually in all Neutral palettes, is great if you want to create a nice Brown Smokey Eye or to intensify your look. I just love the versatility of  Neutral  Palettes. I am going to share with you my Top five Neutral Palettes. It was a very very tough decision in choosing the ones that made my Top Five. Let's have a look.

Le'ts start from the bottom up:

5.

5. Nyx Nude on Nude-  It was between The Balm's Nude tude and  Nyx's Nude on Nude. Nyx's Nude Palette won this spot because unlike the many Neutral  eyeshadow palettes out there, this palette has the most  Neutral colors to choose from. It has mattes, shimmers and glitter shadows. This palette also comes with lipgloss which is underneath by simply pulling it out. This is a plus because the lip colors compliment the Neutral colors and saves you the time of looking for lipstick or lipgloss that goes with your look.

4.

4. Lorac Pro Unzipped- This palette is perfect for a simpler Neutral Eye and perfect to create a beautiful wedding look. Lorac Unzipped has mattes and shimmers. The colors have softer tones and plenty of golden shades. If you are trying to achieve a natural look , this palette is the perfect choice.

3.

3.Sonia Kashuk's Eye on Neutral Palette 02 - All Matte Palette .Need I say more? I have never seen a palette that contains all Matte Neutral Eyeshadows. Most people prefer Mattes over shimmers. If you are that person, this palette is a must have. I love it.

2.Urban Decays's Naked 1- The classic Naked Palette that started it all. I had to choose between this and the Naked 2. I prefer warmer toned Browns which is why I chose this palette. The Naked 2 color selections are more cool toned.

1.Lorac Pro- This has to be by far the best Neutral palette out there. Equal shimmers and mattes, makes this palette so versatile, giving you many options on contrasting looks. You can see a Review,Swatches and Photos of the Lorac Pro  by Clicking Here.

The reason why The Balm's Nude Tude did not make the cut is because The Balm's Nude Tude  has similar colors  to Lorac Pro, but Lorac Pro's quality and pigmentation is better and has more eyeshadows to choose from. As for choosing the Urban Decay's Naked 1 Palette over the Urban Decays's Naked 2, is I just prefer warmer toned Browns. Naked 2 Palette is great but not many color choices when it comes to Brown color eyeshadows  and the colors are on the cool side.

Ramadan begins for Muslims around the world.

Hey lovelies! I am writing to let you know that Ramadan has started for me and Muslims around  the world. I won't be blogging as much this month but will resume posting more frequently after Ramadan ends. I want to use this time for self reflection and improving my self as a person. I want to enjoy this month and benefit from it as much as I can. Also, I want  to spend this special time with my three children. In case you do not know what Ramadan is here is a brief explanation.

The month of Ramadan is special because it was when the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammed.During Ramadan, Muslims all over the world fast 30 days. We fast from sun rise to sunset. Before the sun rises, we wake up one hr before to eat(suhoor which just means meal before sunrise). We  pray and begin our fast.  After the sunsets, we break our fast and eat(iftar which means meal after sun set).

During the month of Ramadan we abstain from many things such as eating, sexual intercourse,( we are not allowed to do while fasting),arguing, idle and excessive talk(ex.gossiping and backbiting). Ramadan teaches us self control, patience ,humility, increases our faith and cleanses the soul.We try their best to increase in doing good deeds and getting closer to Allah(God). It is a time to self reflect on how we can be better as a person and Muslim. During this month, Muslims increase in worship, constantly seek forgiveness and fast in hopes to be forgiven for past sins.

Ramadan Mubarak to all my fellow Muslims :)

So with that my friends, I will probably be posting perhaps once or twice a week. After Ramadan ends,  I will resume my normal schedule of posting more frequently :) I am working on one blog post at the moment and will have it up sometime this week :) Take care everyone and  much love and hugs!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains Review, Photos and Swatches

Today I will be reviewing Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. At first when I  heard of these I was a bit skeptical. I was thinking these really can't stain your lips and it can't possibly last long.Well now that I have purchased them and tried them my views have changed. One thing that I noticed about Revlon's lip products is that they are so moisturizing for the most part. Revlon has the right formula when it comes to making lip products that are so buttery smooth. The Revlon Balm Stains feel very moisturizing on lips but after while your lips can become dry.It applies very smoothly, has a slight minty smell and has a cooling sensation on your lips. The lip stains are very pigmented and have decent staying power. However, some colors tend to stain differently than the original color. For instance, the Color Honey is like a Pinky Nude color but stains Pink after it sets.  When taking off the product it can be a bit of a challenge since they really do stain your lips.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains retail between $7.48 to $8.99. Its is a retractable  lip crayon which is a plus, so you won't have to worry about sharpening it.

Starting from top to bottom:Honey,Lovesick,Sweetheart,Smitten,Rendezvous, and Romantic

                                                                        Honey

Lovesick

                                                                     Sweetheart

                                                                         Smitten

Rendevous

Romantic

Swatches

Honey is a Pinky Nude color .This is my favorite Nude at the moment. It applies as the color you see here, but stains in a Pink color. When it sets it is still a pretty color , but if I am going to wear Nude I want it to stay Nude.

Lovesick is a Magenta Color. I say out of all the Pinks in the collection, this is my favorite one.

Sweetheart is a Blossom Pink color that has a sweet look to it.
For some reason it reminds me of Candy lol.

Smitten is a Berry Pink color. If you want to wear a Pink that is not so bright then this Pink is nice for everyday wear.

Rendezvous is a Coral color. I love this color because some Corals tend to be really bright but this one has a soft tone to it. Perfect Color to wear for the Summer.

Romantic is a Cherry Wine color. This color is also perfect for everyday wear. Red can be a bit bold, but this Red has a softer tone and is a bit sheer which I like. Nice Fall color.

In conclusion, I think the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains are worth the purchase. They apply very smoothly and has a buttery texture . When I first applied it , I felt a cooling sensation on my lips. It has decent staying power considering I ate a bowl of pasta while wearing it, and the color still stood.I was pretty impressed. It stains nicely but after awhile your lips feel dry so you may want to re apply to get that moisture back. As I mentioned earlier, the color Honey applies Nude and stains Pink. I think at the end all the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm stains slightly lighter color than when you first apply it. It can be a good thing or a bad thing. The Good thing is you may like that  washed color effect. The bad thing is you may want to keep that rich color when you  applied to stain the same way. In my opinion, I would like to keep the Rich color that you have when u first apply it  to stain without changing the color. When it stains the color is nice, but doesn't look like the original color.I still love the product nonetheless. The Revlon Kissable Balm Stain line should have more color selections to choose from. I think Revlon makes great lip products and this one is just another to add to their list. It is convenient because it is a retraceable lip crayon and saves you the time and headache of sharpening it.

I rate this Product a 9/10.

Hope you enjoyed the Review. I will see you all in the next Blog post. Let me know what you think of the product . What is Your favorite Color? What do you dislike about it? Leave a comment below.

Have a wonderful day lovelies :)

Lorac Pro Palette Review,Swatches and Photos

Hey everyone! I am excited to review this awesome Neutral palette. If you are a person who leans more towards Neutral colors then this palette is a must have. All together this palette has 16 colors. 8 Matte and 8 Shimmer colors. Lorac Pro Palette retails for $42.00.(0.32 oz) and comes with a Lorac Mini eye primer(0.17oz). This palette is versatile because you can pull off daytime looks aswell as night time looks. It is very sleek and has a magnetic closure making it travel friendly.

I love how thin the palette is and the way it feels. It has a rubbery smooth feel to it.

Stand out colors: Mattes:Garnet and Deep Purple

        Swatches:

Mattes:

  • White- Is a really nice high light color .  However, the color is chalky when u apply it.
  • Cream- Can be used as a high light color as well. Unfortunately, the color is chalky . My least favorite in the palette. When I apply the color as a highlight, it doesn't really show on my Olive skin tone.
  • Taupe-  a nice Soft Brown color and is a perfect transition color. Blends very nicely.
  • Lt. Pink- is a baby pink color.Color is a bit chalky.
  • Mauve- Another Taupe color. This color is beautiful and one of my favorites of the Matte colors.
  • Sable- Chocolate Brown color.Blends beautifully.
  • Expresso- Deep Dark Brown color. Color is a bit chalky.
  • Black- is indeed Black that can intensify any look, but it is Chalky.(see top of  the page  for swatch).

Shimmers:

  • Nude-is a very Soft Peachy color.
  • Creme-  Both Cream and Nude are very similar, but Cream is more Beige and has glitter chunks in it making it more sparkly.
  • Gold- is a Coppery Gold Color. This is a such a gorgeous Gold and is a very pigmented.
  • Lt. Bronze- should have been named  Lt. Gold or Gold. I don't see how this is a Bronze color but beautiful shade nonetheless.
  • Pewter- is a Shimmery Taupe color.
  • Garnet- is the color that caught my eye. It is a beautiful Rusty color. This is the most unique color in the palette and is extremely pigmented.  I love how it applies.
  • Deep Purple- is a Deep Plum color and is extremely pigmented. You do not see too many Purples in a Neutral Palette. I love how they incorporated one. This color can be used in a Smokey Eye.
  • Slate- is a beautiful Charcoal Grey color and is another color that can be used in a Smokey Eye.

  Photos:

Over all, this Palette is a winner. What sets this palette apart from the rest of the Neutral Palettes, is that there are equal amounts of Mattes and Shimmers. Most Neutral Palettes tend to have more Shimmers than Mattes. I love how Lorac Pro has so many Mattes  giving you many different colorful contrasts to work with. The texture and pigmentation of the palette is amazing. All colors are Velvety soft and apply smoothly while a few are a bit chalky. Lorac Pro Palette has colors that not many Neutral Palettes have like the colors Garnet and Deep Purple. Garnet is one of my favorite colors in the palette and was the first color I noticed when I opened it. The packaging is wonderful because it is  sleek making it convenient to take with you when u travel. If I have to take one Palette with me when I travel, it would be this one.I find myself using this Neutral palette the most. I highly recommend Lorac Pro Palette and it would be a great addition to your makeup  collection.

I rate Lorac Pro Palette 10/10.

I hope you guys enjoyed this Review and have a wonderful day lovelies! :)
