Neutral Eyes and Neon Lines Ft. Urban Decay and Tarte Cosmetics

Hey loves! I was feeling creative one day and came up with the fun look. I wanted to use neutral colors with pops of neon which is my favorite eyeshadow combo to do. Hope you like this look. I have more quick looks and products used coming up soon.

In place of the orange I was going to use neon pink, but opted for orange instead.

For extra glam, I added purple glitter on top of the purple liner.

I am happy with the way it came out. It is fun to add pops of neon to a neutral look. The best part of this look and you can use what ever pops of neon colors you want. Maybe next tike I will use pinks, greens, purples and blue.

Products used:

Eyes: Tarte cosmetics Tartlette in bloom
(Firecracker, Rebel, Sweetheart, Charmer, and leader)

Urban DecayCosmetics Electric Palette (Gonzo, Thrash, Slowburn and Gonzo)

Liner: Gonzo(purple) from Urban decay Electric Palette

Glitter: Nyx Face And Body Glitter Brillants in GLI 11 (purple glitter)

My Top Ten Neutral Eyeshadows and Swatches

Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well. In the beauty world there a ton of different neutral eyeshadow palettes and neutral eyeshadow singles that seem to be a long lasting trend. With so many neutral  color options it can be overwhelming choosing which one you like. Today I want to share my top ten neutral eyeshadows that I often use not only for the color and pigmentation, but how well they blend and their staying power. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite neutral eyeshadows. It was hard to choose. ;) Let get started!

In no particular order we have...

Makeup Geek Cosmetics Vanilla Bean

You might be wondering it is a pretty sheer cream shade. At least that is what I thought when I first purchased and swatched it. When I used it as a highlight for my brow bone it added just enough highlight with out it being stark white. Sometimes a little goes a long way and as you can see this color is well loved.

Urban Decay Basic Eyeshadow Palette- Skimp

Here is another highlight shade great for the brow bone. Unlike the first highlight shade, this one is more opaque and has a bit of a sheen to it which catches and reflect light adding shimmer and a nice subtle glow to your brow bone.

Makeup Geek Cosmetics-Latte

This color is a light brown color perfect as a transition shade. I love this color because it is soft and really brings a neutral look together helping blending out harsh lines adding a soft look to your neutral makeup. This color is buttery and blend well.

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow - #738
This is not really a shadow but a blush . Most people use it as a shadow and so do I. This color has excellent pigmentation and staying power. I love rusty colored browns to create a warm neutral look. Great color to create a sunset or rusty eye which is what I love and wear the most.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette-Milk Chocolate

Name of the color is accurate. This color reminds of a milk chocolate bar. Another wonderful transition shade to tie a neutral look together. The eyeshadow is buttery and has great pigmentation. It also smells like chocolate!

Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette-Succumbus

I love burnt brown colors and this one is a nice one to add to any neutral look with out creating an overly warm look. This color is gorgeous! The texture is so velvety and blends well.

Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette-Sytry

When It comes to a neutral look it is nice to have mid tone brown to darken things up a bit. You can add this on the outer v area of the eye to add depth to your look. Nice pigmentation and staying power.

Anastasia Beverly Hill Self Made Palette- Hot Chocolate

This color is a perfect chocolate color. I do not own a brown like this. Such a gorgeous color to own and I have been using this color often. Perfect mid tone brown color that has excellent pigmentation, smooth texture and lasts for most of the day.

Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palette- Espresso

This color is perfect for smoking out a brown eye. A little goes a long way when using this eyeshadow. Very pigmented and blends well.

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow- M600

Last and certainly not least is this Make Up For Ever Artist Eyeshadow #M600. It is a nice earthy brown great for the lid and crease. It has great pigmentation and blends well. At times I just apply this color to my lid and blend it up to the crease for a simple neutral look.

Here is what the swatches look like all together. You must of been thinking while scrolling through the swatches that a lot of the brown shades look the same. They are all very different from each other and are my favorite colors to use when doing a neutral makeup look. If I would have to choose one shade that is my absolute fav that would be  Succumbus from the Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette. It is not too orangey or burnt toned which is great to use to add subtle warmth to your neutral makeup.

Hope you enjoyed my top ten neutral eyeshadows. It was definitely hard to choose, but these are what I reach for the most and have awesome texture and blend well.

Blue and Gold Makeup Look Ft. Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette

Hey guys! Hope everyone is well. Lately, I have been loving wearing blue eyeshadows. I know some people stay away from using it in their makeup. I think if you use it with the right colors you can create some beautiful looks. I wanted to use the gorgeous blue from Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette(Check Out my review here. ) and show you that wearing blue eyeshadow isn't so scary. :) Blue and gold go really nice together, so I decided to create this look. I really like how it came out and how the brown color in the crease area ties the look together. Hope you enjoy this pictorial and give it a try.

Pictorial

1. I First, primed the eyes with an eyeshadow primer. For this look on the lid I primed my eyes first with Urban Decay Eye Primer then I took Nyx jumbo eye pencil  in Milk and applied it over the lid to make the gold and blue colors pop more.
2. For the crease I used the color Zone.Blend
3. On the brow bone I applied the color Skimp . Blend.
4. On the outer Corner I used the color Punk to give the look a little more dimension. Blend.
5.  I then applied the gorgeous blue called Danger and applied it half way on my lid.
6. Next, I used the gold color called 1987 and applied it to my inner lid and carefully blended it into the blue so there wouldn't be any harsh lines.
7. I took Inglot gel liner and applied it over my lid.
8. For the lashes I used Loreal Manga Mascara in Black. Before I applied my mascara I curled my lashes and applied 3 coats.
9.As usual I used the Urban Decay Black Eyeliner on my water line.
10. For the outer lower lash line, I went in with the color Punk to darken it up a bit.
11. Again, I took the blue color called Danger and applied it to the rest of the lower lash line and stopped before the tear duct. Blend.
12. Finally, I took the same gold color I used on my inner lid and applied it my inner tear ducts.

That Completes the look!

 Finished Makeup Look

This has to be the most one of the most beautiful blue eyeshadow that I ever used. Urban Decay did a wonderful job on this color. When you pair blue with a neutral eyeshadow it balances the look and adding the gold brightened the entire look.

I hope you give this look a try and for those who are afraid to wear blue eyeshadow this is one way to wear the color blue.

Be safe everyone and see you guys in my next blog post.

Spring Into Neon Makeup # 2 Tutorial Ft. Wet n Wild and Urban Decay

Hey everyone! Hope you all are well. Today I am brining you another tutorial that incorporates a neon color to give this neutral look a pop of color. It's all about being comfortable using more color in our makeup looks now that spring is here. Hope you enjoy this tutorial! :)

Tutorial

*Prime your eyes with an eyeshadow base or primer*

When it comes to the applying makeup I use the B word a lot.. No not that  B word lol The word Blend. Blending is key to having the eyeshadow colors seemlessly blend into one another without any harsh lines.

Take color # 1 and pat it all over the lid.
Next apply color #2 and apply in to your crease. Blend
Use the color #3 and apply to the brow bone to add a highlight to your makeup look. Blend
Add color # 4 to your outer corner and up midway into the  crease area of your eye. Blend.
Choose your favorite black mascara and apply it to your lashes.
To add a pop of color to your look, take color #5 and apply it below your lower lash line. Use a blending brush to smooth out the color a little.
Add black eyeliner to your waterline.
Take a black mascara and apply it to your lower lashes.
Done!

Finished look!

Spring Bloom Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys hope you are all well! Yes! Spring is here and I couldn't be happier. In the makeup world the pastels, rosy pinks and lilacs make their comeback in lipsticks, lip glosses, blushes and eyeshadows. This look is inspired by the beautiful flowers that come to life during the Spring. I love pink flowers and decided to create a look inspired by them.  I added a pop of green to mimic the green leaves and stem of the flowers. Hope you enjoy this look! :)

*Prime the eyelids and lower lash line with eyeshadow base*

1.Apply the color Wisteria onto the lid.
2. Next, take the color Cupcake and add it to the crease. This will act as transition color. Make sure you blend.
3. Take the color Simply Marlena and apply it to the crease and blend.
4. On the inner crease take the color Razzleberry and apply it to the inner crease. Blend.
5.Use the color Vanilla Bean and apply it to the brow bone.
6. Apply bitten to the outter corner and blend it up to the crease midway.
During the process of applying the eyeshadows to your eye, make sure you take the color Wisteria and touch up the lid along the way.
7.Apply black masacra.
8.Use black eyeliner and apply it to the water line.
9.Use a green eyeliner and apply it to the lower lash line. This will act as a base to eyeshadow color you place on top.
10. Take the  color Sea mist and apply on your lower lash line on top of the green eyeliner.
11. Next use the color Shimma Shimma and apply it to the inner tear duct.
*Once I am done again I take the color Wisteria to touch up the lid.*

Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette Photos, Swatches +Review

Hello my dear readers! I am sure you have seen many blog posts and reviews on the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette. It is one of the hottest holiday palettes out right now. I love the fact that the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette is more on the colorful side. It is a nice break from the naked palettes and I knew Urban Decay had the potential to come out with yet another amazing colorful palette. Scroll down for  photos, swatches and my thoughts on the Vice 3 Palette.

Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette retails at $60(0.6 oz).  It comes with all new 20 velvety colorful shadows as well as some neutral ones.  Most shades are metallic with a few matte and satin shades. The eyeshadows are arranged in rows starting from top to bottom. You can coordinate a look that way or mix it up. The Urban Decay Vice 3 also comes with a a dual ended brush and nice colorful case to store it in.

Pros:
Slim Case
Pigmentation
Variety of colors
Versatile

Cons:
Price

 Photos

I like how it shows the colors in the back, so you know what your are buying and if you like these sort of colors or not.

I really love the packaging. I think they did a great job. I love the silver with the color steaks in the middle and the bright green letters.

This palette has a nice size mirror and does not flop down.

A close up of all the pretty colors.

The color are arranged in rows starting from the top down. You have your neutrals in the first, your jewels tones in the next three rows and your smokey shades in the last. You can also use the colors in quads aswell. I love how they paired them this way so you can have an easy time creating a look, or you can be adventurous and mix the colors to create a unique makeup look.

The palette also comes with a double ended brush.

I like that it comes with the case for storing the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette or it can be used as a cosmetic pouch.

Swatch Time!
Truth -is a pale matte eyeshadow. I found this shade to be a bit dry and chalky.
Undone- Peachy matte shade. This shade has a creamy texture considering it is a matte shade.
DownFall-is a light brown. I am so happy they included this wonderful transition shade to work with all the colorful eyeshadows in the palette.
DTF- is a mauvy brown. Another great transition color.

Dragon- is a beautiful leafy green color.
Freeze-is a mid tone blue color
Heroine -is a beautiful navy blue color.
Broke Down -is a bronze gold color .

Vanity -is a grape color.
Lucky- a gorgeous orangey gold color.
Reign- is a copper brown color.
Boddy Dazzle is a white silver color.

ahh yes my favorite row! :)
Alien- a rosy pink color.
Alchemy -is a magenta pink.
Bondage- is a deep burgundy shade.
Sonic is a pink color with orange undertones. One of my favorite colors in this palette!

Last sin-champagne color
Angel- is a taupe metallic color.
Defy- is a slate grey color.
Revolver- is a gunmetal grey color.

Thoughts

OverAll, I really like the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette. It has 20 colors mostly metallic with a few matte and satin finishes making this palette very versatile. I love how they included matte shades to work as transition colors for the colorful shades. If you do not want such a colorful look you can always pair a neutral shade with some of the colorful shades to tone down a look. I feel that with every palette that urban decay comes out with they get a bit more expensive. This palette costs $60 dollars.  It isn't bad considering it has 20 all new shadows, but I have seen other eye shadows palettes on the market that have the same amount of shadows and also comes with blushes and lip glosses for a cheaper price.

The eyeshadows have great pigmentation, with the exception of the matte shade Truth. The other matte neutral shades in the palette are velvety soft and the colorful shadows have great pigmentation . The eyeshadows lasted about 7 hours on me without the color fading or creasing.

As for the packing, I love it! It is very sleek and the outside packaging is so pretty. I think it is pretty artsy. The palette comes with a huge mirror and it stays up and does not flop down as with previous Urban Decay palettes. The Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette also comes with a decent double ended brush and an Urban Decay zipper pouch, so u can store the palette in or use it for a cosmetic pouch.

If your a color junkie then this palette is perfect for you. The colors are so versatile that you can use this palette for spring, summer, winter and fall. Hurry and grab this great palette before it sells out. The Urban Decay Vice 3 is a limited edition palette.

You can find the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette at Ulta, and Sephora.

Do you own this palette? Would you buy it? What is your favorite colors in the palette? Comment below.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post lovelies and see you soon!
