Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette Review, Photos and Swatches

Hey lovelies, I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful weather. I know there have been many blog posts and videos on the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette, but I still wanted to share my thoughts and talk about it. I love makeup and anything beauty related and I can talk about these things all day. Thank goodness for blogs. lol. I hope you enjoy my review on the Urban Decay Electric Palette. Let's jump right in.

Urban Decay Electric Palette Retails at $49.00 and comes with ten bright and bold colors.
According to Urban Decay the colors, Slowburn, Savage, Jilted and Urban are not safe for the eyes.

Pros:
Colors
Pigmentation
Application
Blendability

Cons:
Not a fan of the color Revolt(silver color)

The outside packaging shows the actual colors of the eyeshadows that are in the palette and it is the same design on the case. I love the color splash against the black back round.

Back of the packaging as you can see list all the names of the colors.

Finally, Urban Decay  palette has a mirror that stands up and does not flop back. I love the size of the mirror aswell. I also love how Urban Decay prints the names of the colors right under it instead of a plastic insert that these day makeup companies are doing.

My only complaint of the palette is that there are a lot of blue colors. It would have been nice if they added an orange instead of the silver. I don't know how silver can be an electric color.

The Urban Decay Electric Palette comes with a dual ended brush that is synthetic.

Swatch time!

The colors are very opaque and vibrant. However, some of the color are not safe to use on the eye such as Slowburn,Jilted, Savage and Urban.

Revolt- A metallic silver color. My least favorite color in the palette. I wish they added a neon orange instead of this silver color. In my opinion, this is not an electric color. This color was also in the Urban Decay's Anarchy Palette.

Gonzo- is a bright blue.

Slowburn- is a red orange color. This is one of the colors that is not safe for the eyelids.

Savage- is a vibrant hot pink color. This color is also not safe for the eyes.

Fringe- is a teal blue green color. One of my favorite colors in the palette.

Chaos- is a cobalt blue. I had missed out on the Urban Decay Vice palette and I was very happy that they included the color in this palette.

Jilted- is a purple pink color. Not safe for the eyes.

Urban- is a nice grape color. Yet another color in the palette not safe for the eyes.

Freak-A lime minty green.

Thrash- is a neon yellow.

Final Thoughts

Over All, I really love this palette. What can I say I am a sucker for colorful eyeshadows and the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette won my heart. The colors blend very beautifully and are very opaque, pigmented, velvety and long lasting. This palette screams summer colors. I love it. As for the packaging, I think it is super cute and love the color splash effect that they used mixed with the black colors. The colors of the eyeshadows are showcased on the packaging which I thought was pretty cool. The palette comes with a dual ended synthetic brush which helps keep the pigment attached to the synthetic fibers giving you more concentrated application of eyeshadow. My least favorite color out of the palette would have to be Revolt. I am not a fan of silver eyeshadows and I don't consider silver as an electric or bright color. There are four eyeshadows that are not safe for your eyes which are Slowburn, Savage, Jilted and Urban. When I learned this  I was thinking ok.... so where can we use these colors then and why include them in the palette if they are not safe? I have seen other you tubers use these unsafe colors and looks like they are ok to use.

If you are someone who loves color then the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette is worth it! This palette is perfect for Summer and trust me you will have fun creating all sorts of colorful and fun looks.

Dupe Alert!!!!

If you have the Sugar Pill Palettes, chances are you will not need this palette. I was hesitant in getting the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette, but I was happy that I purchased it. Although SugarPills eyeshadow colors are very similar to some of the colors in the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette, the Sugar Pill  Eyeshadow Palettes are not as pigmented and opaque as the Urban Decay Electric Palette. Maybe you are a color eyeshadow junkie like me and have to have both. I think both brands are great, but Urban Decay has got their eyeshadow formulas right.

You can purchase the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette at Ulta, Sephora and the Urban Decay Website.

  1. This is such a great in depth review and I agree totally with you about the colour revolt. In fact its the only reason I have not purchased the palette yet. I almost never use silvers like that and becuase the palette ia quite expensive with the tax in ontario, I didn't want to buy it. I might later on but I do wish that silver colour was replaced with something else!

  2. I'm still deciding if I want to get this palette. It looks so beautiful, but I'm not sure if I can justify buying another bright eyeshadow palette! lol
